THE APOLLO FAMILY
Russell Bickert Jr.
I have been with Apollo since 1992. I became co-owner in 2000 and full owner in 2006. My favorite part about Apollo is well….. Everything! When you go to work and it doesn’t seem like work, you have won. I live this life. This company is my passion. I cannot express how gratifying or humbling it is to have such a great staff driving the expectations of Apollo. There is nothing I’d rather be doing. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife, kids, family, and friends. A round of golf is next in line, then, after that, it would be traveling, boating, or clearing my mind maintaining and remodeling my house. I also enjoy a great craft beer.
Director of Sales
I am currently in my 17th season with Apollo. During my time here, it has been enjoyable to watch and be involved with the changes and progression of the company. A really satisfying part of my time here is all of the different jobs I have taken on along the way to help with the success of the company. I’ve always had a lot of pride in the work we do here at Apollo. In my personal time, I enjoy all types of outdoor activities from boating to camping. I have passed these passions on to my son who occupies most of my time. I thoroughly enjoy watching him grow and excel in his scholastics, athletics, and growth into a genuinely good person.
Director of Operations
In March of 2021, I joined the Apollo Team as the Director of Operations after working in IT Management since 2002. My previous positions led me to excel at customer service as well as assisting people in their career development. Since joining Apollo Concrete Coatings, I have been able to leverage my skills by bringing technological enhancements and new ideas, which has added to the growth and success of the team. Outside of my career at Apollo, I stay involved in the community as an active participant in the 11 Day Power Play and other charitable events. In addition, I play hockey and enjoy family movie nights, kayaking, and rock climbing with my wife and two kids.
I started my career with Apollo in 2020 after working as a pharmacist for 20 years. I truly enjoy talking to and educating people. One of the greatest rewards of my job is to see a floor project through from the first phone call to the finished product. It is amazing to talk to a customer after their job is complete and to hear the excitement in their voice as they talk about their new floor.
Personally, I love the family atmosphere that we have at Apollo. We have a great team of hardworking, honest people that I am proud to work with. When I am not at work, I love to spend time with my family, dance, and work on projects around the house.
Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
After spending several years being a stay-at-home mom, I joined the Apollo family in March of 2021 to provide support to the office staff as well as work on ad-hoc projects. Soon thereafter I assumed the role of accounts payable/accounts receivable liaison utilizing 10+ years of experience in the financial industry to help streamline processes and improve the customer experience. Apollo fosters a family-like atmosphere and comradery amongst employees which is an integral part of our success and why it’s a joy to come to work each day! During my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, cooking/baking, and enjoying a glass of wine.
I just started at Apollo in 2021. I work in the office and it has been great since I started. I answer phones, help customers, file papers, schedule jobs, and more. I like working here because of the environment. They treat you like family and actually care about you here. Every day, I am more and more impressed with this company, the people who make it up, and the pride they take in their work. It truly is an amazing company to be a part of and I am thankful they let me become part of the team.

I’ve been with Apollo for a little over 5 years. Russ and I had known each other from our local Crossfit gym. He needed an extra set of hands during one of the Home Shows and I was available to help! After the Home Show weekend, he offered me a position in the sales department. I have been so thankful for this job. It is not a typical 9-5 job. I get to have a new “office” several times a day and meet new people. Working for Apollo has felt like family. I have recently expanded my own personal family with a baby girl and Apollo has been extremely supportive and has worked well with my new mom schedule. Outside of work I continue my CrossFit classes and enjoy spending time with my husband, our 2 dogs, and our daughter.

I started at Apollo in the summer of 2016 and quickly fell in love with the company because it never felt like a job. I became a Crew Leader within the first year and my growth with the operational team allowed me the opportunity to move on to become a Sales associate. What I like about Apollo is the feeling of a family work environment and knowing that we install the best products on the market! In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, sports, and hanging out with my wife and golden doodle.

I started with Apollo in 2017 as a drywall hanger/finisher/painter. I then made the transition a few years later to a concrete coatings installer. What I then learned as an installer led the way to becoming a design consultant. As a working mom, flexibility is key. Schedule flexibility is just one of the many reasons I have been able to go from having a “job” to a career with the partnership I now have with the team here at Apollo. I’m so grateful for the relationships I’ve built with everyone here. When not working, my family and I enjoy our time camping and spending time outdoors, along with woodworking and building projects together. Our little one keeps us pretty busy as well!

I come from the Fitness and Wellness industry; having a master’s degree in Kinesiology, and certifications in personal training, group fitness, performance enhancement, and corrective exercise. I also teach an Afro-Brazilian martial art, Capoeira, outside of work. I started sales for Apollo in March of 2021. I love working with people of so many backgrounds to make their home project a reality. The best part of working for Apollo is the strong sense of family and community throughout our entire team.

I am a father of 3 and an Iraq combat veteran serving in the US Army from 2000-2006. I have been with Apollo since May 2019. What I enjoy most about working for Apollo is having the opportunity to interact with new people on a daily basis and showing how Apollo can transform a vision into reality in just one day. When I’m not working, I enjoy riding my Harley-Davidson, Caribbean vacations, and taking care of my 3 dogs and chickens.
Before joining Apollo in March 2021 I worked primarily in the foodservice industry. Unsure of what I wanted in a career, I came to Apollo to learn a new trade and to expand my experience within the construction industry. After intensive training, I was elevated to Crew Leader which allowed me to use my customer service experience to help provide our customers with a unique and personalized experience. Apollo has helped me to build my confidence in both professional and personal settings. In my downtime, I enjoy spending quiet time with my family and friends.
I have been with Apollo since 2020 and I am currently a crew leader. When I am not at work, I am tinkering with either computers or with my ’87 Camaro.
I started March 22, 2016, as a painter, but saw greater opportunities in the flooring business so the switch over was obvious. I went from painting walls to painting floors. I only feel at home when I’m at work, in the kitchen or at the park. I spend my free time in a hammock, in the woods, at a skatepark or I’m following the music. There’s not much to me, a simple dude just trying to leave a positive impact where I can. I’m terrified of growing old and have no interest in slowing down.
I have been with Apollo for 6 years! I’ve been a crew leader for 4 years now and I absolutely love it. It’s hard work, but because of the family atmosphere and vibe you get when you show up to work it doesn’t feel like it. I’m also a sponsored poi artist, and my wife Laura and I can usually be found at some park flowing whenever it’s nice out! I’m proud to be part of the Apollo family and I’m excited to see where we go.
I am a crew lead at Apollo Concrete Coatings and I started at Apollo in 2016 hanging drywall. After a while, I was trained how to install concrete coatings. Thankfully, I’ve been doing it ever since! It is a great feeling seeing a finished product at the end of each day, plus the gratification of improving peoples’ homes. Working for Apollo has always been like working for a small family, everyone looks out for another and helps each other excel. In my free time, I am an avid frisbee golfer with my fiancée and enjoy vacationing in southwest Florida with my family.
I started working for Apollo in 2018. I came from the roofing, gutter, and carpentry trades industries. I enjoy installing floors much more than being on a ladder or a roof.
I have two kids and two dogs. In my free time, I enjoy camping and playing video games with my son.
I started working at Apollo in August of 2020. I enjoy working at Apollo because every day is something new and I get to create something beautiful out of beat-up floors. My hobbies are reading, hunting, hiking, and working out. I grew up on a dairy farm and I was active duty army from 2015 to 2018. I am currently in the National Guard and I have a beautiful wife and son.
My first season at Apollo started in April of 2021. Each floor we put down is unique and that gives me the opportunity to continually learn and develop my skills in this field. I am proud of the work that I do and of customers telling me their appreciation has become what I enjoy the most about my job. Outside of Apollo, I enjoy attending live music/art events and camping. When I am not enjoying the outdoors, I am an avid video gamer.
I started with Apollo in May of 2021 as a floater installer and was quickly promoted to a second. With hard work and dedication, I was promoted to a crew leader. The best part of the job for me is the transformation of the garage floors. Since each garage floor is different and unique, I am able to expand and grow my talents every day! When I’m not at work, I enjoy doing anything outdoors with my family- hunting, fishing, camping or even enjoying a game of disc golf.
I started with Apollo in July of 2021 as a floating installer. With training in auto mechanics and many abilities I’ve learned in construction, I was proudly promoted. I’ve had experience in mold remediation and radon gas removal along with years of professional driving and even more years in customer service. Apollo is a great company and I’m glad I can use my talents to further represent this company. If I’m not working, I can usually be found doing outdoorsman activities, playing a round of disc golf or spending time with my wife and two daughters.
In March of 2021, I joined the Apollo team and quickly took a liking to both the fast-paced movement as well as the tight-knit family-style work environment. Seeing how gratifying it was to turn something damaged and beat up into a crisp brand new garage floor made it all that much more satisfying. In my off time, I enjoy traveling as well as snowboarding in the winter and spending time out on the boat during the summer.
I started with Apollo as a Floor installer in Buffalo in April 2019. In 2020, I moved out to Rochester to become a crew leader and help expand the company. Working for Apollo has been my favorite job that I’ve ever had and in just 3 years has become a career. I enjoy the tight-knit family atmosphere of the company. Being able to work all across Western New York is awesome and being able to transform something cruddy looking and make it beautiful in such a short time really gives me pride in my work. When I’m off the job, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing hockey, and attending music events.
I started at Apollo in March of 2021 with little to no experience in this kind of field. I previously worked in the restaurant business and even worked in the animal field for awhile. At Apollo, I was nervous at first but with great training and hard work I quickly caught on and worked my way up. I quickly realized how much I enjoy working for Apollo and how great of a company they are. I love that everyday has something different to offer and I love seeing the finished product. In my free time, when I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors, sports and spending time with my family.
I was part of the team that expanded Apollo into the Rochester, NY area in 2018. I enjoy working for Apollo because of the empowerment that I have and knowing that I’m working to grow the family business. I previously worked in the restaurant business and at Wegmans. My hobbies are watching sports and spending time with my family.
